Each month we celebrate our culture heroes. Culture heroes are given the ethos award by their peers during our fortnightly team meeting. Then here on the blog, we give them a shoutout and ask them a few questions about what’s it’s like working remotely for In Marketing We Trust.
Today we are celebrating two team members, Oum and Tom for their dependability and ability to “Get Shit Done”. Both of these team members hail from the SEO team and always go above and beyond for our clients and others in the team.

Oum Chirdchuen

Any tips for keeping yourself focused and delivering great results while working from home?
Create yourself a great working space, choose the quietest area if possible. And when you work, try to stay focused on one task at a time. There will be a lot of distractions and noises while you’re at home, by half focusing it will be negatively impacting your productivity due to the fact that you aren’t giving either task your full attention.
Could you briefly describe your main tasks and responsibilities?
As an SEO Analyst at In Marketing We Trust , most of my tasks are all about optimising a client’s website from a search engine’s perspective. This includes strategies for both technical and content areas to ensure their website is healthy and strong enough to compete with the competitive ocean in Google search results as much as possible.
How do you manage to juggle so many responsibilities and deadlines?
Prioritisation is the KEY. Sometimes I choose to do the easier one first even if the deadline is not the closest because it could take less time to get it done. So I have more time to spend on the harder one and focus on that.
Why do you like working at In Marketing We Trust?
People here in In Marketing We Trust are very smart, nice and care for each other. I feel amazed by realising how a group of people who mostly have never met in person can be so connected. Also, as a remote company, I have a flexible schedule and being able to work anywhere is also the reason why I like working at In Marketing We Trust.
Tom Ashworth
Tom was awarded for Getting Shit Done and for “being a legend”.
“Tom always works on facilitating work and thinking of ways of working better together as a team and he’s just the perfect teammate.”
What is your best advice for getting shit done (to the point of being recognised for this superpower)?
My key to getting shit done is to be available and to be flexible. In an agile business in a remote environment with a lot of ongoing projects and priorities, it is important to be able to work together and knowledge share to limit blockers around the company.
Any tips for keeping yourself focused and delivering great results while working from home?
Things that have helped me over the years have been:
- Making sure you are still interacting with your colleagues daily
- Meetings aren’t just straight into a fixed agenda without any human element
- Take time out to pet your animals
Could you briefly describe your main tasks and responsibilities?
As the SEO Team Lead at In Marketing We Trust, I am responsible for developing the SEO team while working closely with the other streams for cohesive performance in everything we do. Alongside that, I am still on the tools and work with our clients to stay across the great work they, and we, are doing together.
How do you manage to juggle so many responsibilities and deadlines?
By being proactive and making sure to communicate ahead of time when there could be issues or potential opportunities.
