Celebrating Our Culture Heroes - March
5 min read

Each beginning of the month constitutes a great moment to plan for the weeks ahead but also a great moment to allocate some time for reflection and celebration. In what we call today’s ‘fast-paced’ environment, it can be easy to lose track of all the hard work that has been done, while being constantly focussed on the challenges that lay ahead. This is one of the reasons why we celebrate and praise our culture heroes on a monthly basis – a practice that we are staying true to and which constitutes an honest reminder of what makes a company great: its people.

We ended the quarter by celebrating one of our wonderful colleagues for her over the top contributions in March. Leticia has truly embodied ‘Getting shit done’, one of IMWT’s core values and she shared with us some very insightful tips on how to own this value and go above and beyond – insights that might be useful for any professional, especially for those working remotely (we have been doing so for more than 8 years, after all).

Leticia

As the first month within the company, Leticia has had to adapt not only to a new role but also to colleagues working predominantly in different timezones. No easy task.

Despite what might constitute initial challenges, Leticia rose to the occasion and demonstrated that not only can she get stuff done efficiently but also that she will do so while supporting her peers. Leti is our Digital Analytics Specialist and is currently based in Germany.

Celebrating Our Culture Heroes - March - LeticiaWhat is your best advice for getting stuff done in the workplace (to the point of being recognised for this superpower)?

Independently together. Having good communications and being aware of the priorities and objectives of the team are essential to manage deliveries and not holding up the rest of the team. In order to achieve it, I need a To-Do list, coffee and counting on a great team to move forward, despite being thousands of kilometres apart, across multiple time zones. An exciting challenge.

Any tips for keeping yourself focussed and delivering great results while working from home?

In my case, in addition to the above, the workspace is important to stay focused. It’s easy to get distracted while working from home. It looks appealing to work from anywhere at home: on the sofa in the living room, at the kitchen table or even on the floor.

Something I have learned after years of working remotely is that one important thing is to always have a very comfortable chair and desk. As for me, it helps not to get distracted and my back appreciates it : )

Celebrating Our Culture Heroes - LetiCould you briefly describe your main tasks and responsibilities?

As digital analyst my main responsibilities are to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data collected to understand user behaviour, the impact of marketing channels and the use of web/app functionalities in order to optimise a digital business.

The most common day-to-day tasks are: definition of measurement strategies, design customized technical implementations or analyze channels paths.

How do you manage to juggle so many responsibilities and deadlines?

Organisation and planning priorities are key to advance and fulfil all deliveries. It also helps me to obtain a broad context of each project. This way I can assess how important it is to the team and I can identify where I should start.
